I’m with the director and a few members of the cast and crew, preparing for an episode of SNL with John Mulaney as the host.
I wrench as I understand how awful and stressful it would actually be to be a part of this show, but obviously still really fun. I’m writing quickly, possibly actually funny shit, as we shoot an incomplete multi-scene pre-tape, centred around a honeymoon, while it’s getting darker on Saturday night.
Aidy’s character has the funniest line, “You pulled me back to Tacker’s!” which is about her husband re-introducing her to a cereal from her youth.
Lorne sees how much work is left to do on the piece.
John: “Don’t worry, it’ll be ready in time.”
Lorne: “It better be.”
